New kids this week

We welcome two new kids this week – Beki and her brother Eli. They both did the mountain scene for their very first oil and did a great job. You can expect to see really cool paintings from them as they both seem to have a great eye for composition and color. Eli also started the peacock and will complete this next week and Beki is doing a pumpkin…both in acrylics. I think I will work with the Saturday kids in both oil and acrylics each week to give them exposure with both mediums.

Leslie did the three block paintings for a Christmas gift for kids in her family which really turned out to be a unique gift; Karen did the sparkly fall trees & the pumpkin with mice (how cute are those!); and the last one is a commission I completed for a guy who has a elk ranch.

Vacation over, new posts

Back from vacation and students have been especially busy.  Tami stayed with mom while I was gone and took over the studio with her own classes with Kimberly, Tyler, and Nate joining her to do most of these.

I completed a few commissions after returning, the cat and another pop art dog.  This bulldog was so much fun…would love to have more commissions with personality like this little guy.

This past Friday, Leslie and Sandy joined me to paint ones they were working on and then tried their hand at their first acrylic.  Acrylics can be quite a challenge but they did great on their first.

Hope you can join us next week,
